Step Out Information Evening
As part of the Step Out 2007 Reunion weekend, an information event will be held on Saturday 29th September at Inverkeithing Baptist Church, and we warmly invite anyone who is interested in doing a summer mission next year to come along and join us.

Link With Project Scotland Severed!
As a result of new policies in ProjectScotland, we are no longer able to receive funding for Xtend and Step Out+. It's a shame that this link up has come to an end, but they are unable to fund organisations who will only recruit from one faith community. We were reluctant to open up the projects to those from other faith backgrounds or none as this would have fundamentally changed the nature of these projects.

This week, Step Out retuns to a slightly more sedate pace with two teams involved in activities this week - Inverness (Castle Street) and Tillicoutry/Cornton.

Yesterday saw the week three teams arriving in the East Neuk and Erskine. It was a nice sunny day in Scotland for their arrival, but as they wake up this morning, it's not quite so nice as the rain pours.

Just a reminder that the deadline for Sports day entries is now less than two weeks away. You need to get the forms into the office by 12 noon on Wednesday 23rd May (which means second class posting no later than the Monday!!!)

Showcase Event For Church And Youth Leaders
On Monday 21st May at 7.30PM, Maxwell Mearns Castle Church (Waterfoot Road, Newton Mearns, Glasgow) are hosting a visit of two talented entertainers and they want to invite you along.
Garry Brotherston, a former lifer turned Christian musician, will be sharing his powerful testimony as well as singing some songs from his upcoming album.

Step Out 2007 – Equipment Needed!
As we are looking to help a big number of churches this coming summer, we are on the look out for any used or unused computer games consoles that could either be given or lent to us for the summer (e.g. Playstation 1 or 2, Gamecubes, Xboxes, etc) or games that aren’t required anymore but could be used in the youth cafes the Step out teams will be running during the summer.

Christian Union Petition
You've probaly heard a lot over the past few months about opposition that Christian Unions all around the country have been facing, particularly over the PURE course and the openness of membership. There is now a petition to the Prime Minister going on to try and persuade him that it is perfectly reasonable for Christian Unions to state that leadership positions should be controlled.

Four Signed Up For Step Out +
We now have four young people signed up for the Step Out+ summer team. When you add that to one volunteer from England for the summer and an American joining for June and July, we have more help this year than last year. Please pray for Cindy, Jillian, Laura and Rachel along with Noel and Rosie who will be working very hard this summer all around Scotland.

Step Out Record!
There are a record number of churches looking for Step Out teams this coming summer. We are looking to assist 18 churches around the country with children and/or youth activities over the summer weeks.
This is awesome, but we are still a bit off being able to do this. In order to help more churches, we need more team members.
